Julie Heffernan (Founder and Editor) is a Brooklyn-based painter who exhibits widely throughout the USA and internationally. She received her M.F.A. in Painting and Printmaking at the Yale School of Art and Architecture. She is represented by Hirschl & Adler and Catherine Clark Gallery and has received numerous grants and fellowships including an NEA, a NYFA Grant, a Fulbright-Hayes Grant to West Berlin and several awards from the National Academy Museum. Heffernan is a Professor of Fine Art at Montclair State University.

Virginia Wagner (Founder and Editor) is an artist and writer who studied at Oberlin College and received her M.F.A. from the Hoffberger School of Painting at Maryland Institute College of Art. She received the 2016 Lotos Prize in Painting and has been granted residencies through Guggenheim Works & Process, Mt. Tremper, Kaatsbaan, Brush Creek, Byrdcliffe, Edward Albee Foundation, VCCA, Jentel Foundation, Ucross, Vermont Studio Center, and Yale Norfolk. Wagner currently teaches at Pratt Institute and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
